Lay Pastor Society - Catholic evangelization

I am getting involved with a program coming to our Church called Lay Pastor Society. It is a Catholic evangelization program that has lay people calling parishioners to inform them of upcoming Parish events, asking them to get involved and to see if they have any concerns or prayer requests. I think it will be a great program especially for those who are either leery of the Church or can not get around too much nad would like to keep up with what is going on in the Parish.
